Petite Assistante - by Flipsoft Inc.

Simple … You look up the word “Paint” in English and you’ll see “Peinture” in French. But if you’re out and about and you see the word “Peinture” then how do you go about finding what that means.. With “Petite Assistante” app you simply either drop into “Français à l’anglais” mode and search to word or scroll to it and that of course will bring up “Paint” in English.

At launch we have over 6,000 translations in both English & French and YES we are adding more. We are going to keep it tight to renovating, renovation and building as this app is here to help you with these types of terms so we’ll not be cheating by swelling the word base by putting in basic French conversational words. All dictionary updates, corrects and additions WILL BE FREE.

OH YES! Rather than scroll through an ever growing list of words the top option in both the English & French sections is a search bar. Just start typing and it'll dynamically search the dictionary you are in. To make it even better remember to add the French keyboard to your iPhone / iPod Touch to get all the accents.

If it were I wouldn't have had the need to write this. We are renovating a house in France and the dictionaries i've bought and taken with me just focus far to much on regular French words where as Petite Assistante is specific to renovation and building so you'll find words in here that will not be in the usual dictionaries. Plus others dictionaries you buy aren't dynamically updates, as fast to search and as light in your pocket... And we won't discuss the price ;)

Oh please do. While we are trying to be as comprehensive as possible I have no doubt we'll miss something. Send it in and we'll check it out and add it to the next release.

Not at present. At the current price the work to remove chunks of words or functionality doesn't make sense (sorry).
